An AI visibility score tells you when you’re missing from an answer. It doesn’t tell you why another source was used instead or what you’d change on your page.
Machine Intelligence gives you that context for each tracked question. In AI Answers, switch from The answer to Machine Intelligence. You’ll see the closest page on your site, the section most relevant to the question, and the specific reasons it isn’t ready to quote. For example, the section may have no heading that says what it answers, or it may open with “this” or “it”, so the quote doesn’t make sense on its own.
You’ll also see the sources each engine used instead, including the type of site and, where the run captured it, the passage the answer quoted. That gives you a concrete example of the kind of answer the engine used.
You can send the fix straight to Content Studio with the question, your page and the rival passages attached. If a source is a publication worth pitching, Pitch this starts a pitch instead. Content Studio also checks each section of a draft to see whether it can stand on its own as a quote.
A quotable section doesn’t guarantee an engine will choose it. It removes the issues that currently make the section harder to quote. Machine Intelligence is now available in AI Answers for every Searchscope user, with more detail on the platform page.

Machine Intelligence: your closest page, what stops it being quoted, and the sources each engine used instead.
