Analyzers · Internal Links

Internal Links, as a list of jobs.

Most internal linking tools give you a diagram of the problem and leave the work with you.

Searchscope gives you the job instead. Source page, target page, and the anchor to use, with the pages nothing points at flagged separately.

01 · The ticket

Not a diagram. A job.

Internal linking usually arrives as a crawl visualization: a link graph that proves something is wrong without telling anybody what to do on Monday.

Every finding here is a ticket. A source page, a target page, and the anchor text to use, so the work can be handed to someone who has never seen the site.

Part 01

The source

A page with authority to spare and a natural place to put the link.

Part 02

The target

The page that needs it, chosen because it's underlinked rather than because it's new.

Part 03

The anchor

The wording to use, drawn from what the target actually ranks for.

02 · How it matches

Three ways to find the placement.

A link is only worth adding where the sentence would carry it anyway, so placements are found by matching the target against the language already on the source page.

Match 01

Exact

The target term appears on the source page as it stands.

Match 02

Partial

A close variant is present, and a light edit makes the link read naturally.

Match 03

Semantic

The passage is about the target topic without using its words. Found by meaning rather than by string matching.

source /blog/best-campsites-uk
target /guides/camping-checklist  starving
anchor "what to pack for camping"   match partial
  inlinks to target 1
03 · Starving targets

The pages nothing points at.

A page can be well written, well researched and effectively invisible to your own site, because nothing links to it.

Targets below the inlink threshold are flagged as starving, and grouped so you can see how many sit behind a single source page. Fixing one page often clears several tickets at once.

04 · Then what

From ticket to published link.

Ask the Strategic Advisor whether it's worth doing against everything else in the queue. Send it to Content Studio when the fix is a writing job. Mark it applied and the Impact Tracker takes a baseline, then reports what followed.
